Do you have a love of tea and Victoriana…
- along with a sense of community spirit? If you answered yes, then you will love the Victorian Tea Society of Orange County!
VTS members engage in a variety of Victorian-related activities, including visiting other museums, sipping from steaming cups at local tea houses, and participating in workshops on nineteenth-century crafts, customs, decorating styles, and more. Members are encouraged to dress in their Victorian finery on such ’tea tramp’ outings.
But the Victorian Tea Society is more than a social club. Formed in 1993, the group serves as a fund-raising auxiliary for the Heritage Museum of Orange County. VTS hosts themed teas and other events several times a year to benefit children’s educational programs at the museum. As a volunteer organization, our members donate their time and talents in an effort to support the museum through teas and events we host. We consider ourselves most fortunate to have the historic Kellogg House and the lovely shade pavilion for our events we host for the museum.
We all feel that the past is important. It is a rich heritage, one we should not lose sight of. These common interests, along with a desire to serve the public in a charitable pursuit, brings us together.
Annual membership in the VTS costs $40 and includes an apprentice-level membership in the Heritage Museum of Orange County. For further information, please call 714-540-040 x327. You may download a membership application here, or you can request one by calling the number above.
We thank you for your visit and do hope that you will consider becoming a member.
